Romantic and Chic Wedding Night at the Mandarin Oriental

By | Weddings | No Comments

Michelle came to our studio and it was apparent from the beginning that she knew what she wanted to have in her wedding. As our conversation going on, we realized that Michelle’s taste was very chic – from her choice in low, clean white Phalaenopsis Orchid centerpieces with a lot of candles to her Yves Saint Laurent dress vs. a traditional bridal gown.

The night in Mandarin Oriental went very well as our gorgeous bride had dreamed of. Tantawan Bloom turned that special night into a very magnificent and romantic time. The bride and the groom really appreciated it and we were so happy to make her dream come true. Special thanks to James Munz and his hardworking team from the Mandarin Oriental, Shades of Grey Productions Inc. for the amazing lighting and Alex.Z Photography for the beautiful photo!

An innovative take on the escort card table.

My jaw dropped when I first laid eyes on Golf’s work, and I couldn’t get enough. Golf comes from Thailand, and this influence is easy to spot in his work which also fuses European and American style.

Rethinking the centerpiece as a framed work of art.

Golf has also made appearances on local TV shows and charity events. If I lived in New York, I would visit his shop on a weekly basis to be inspired and exhilarated by his art. Truly masterpieces.

Simple Ideas for the Holidays Season

Modern Wreaths from Tantawan Bloom

While I was browsing for the ideas to create the contemporary wreaths last week, I saw this piece of wooden frame and green glittered ornamented balls (which is on sales), then I came up with an idea to transform this simple wooden frame to be a very stylish and modern frame.

Again sometimes the most creative and modern piece of art can be created from inexpensive and simple things.

Holidays Wreath Idea Part II

Tantawan Bloom Modern Wreath Design

Most of the time simple things can create a very beautiful and creative piece of work if we just think outside the box. Like the modern wreath that I just created called “Infinity”. Basically, I just used two materials: hundreds of different shades of purple feather butterflies and the wooden wreath ring. With the back lighting, these butterflies look like they have become alive flying around in circle in the same direction like their journey will never end!

Holidays Wreath Ideas Part I

After my last post about the wreath that I designed for the fundraising event “Posh at the Plaza Holidays Sale!”, I have received several emails from the readers requested the idea of creating a unique and modern wreath for the holidays. So today I am going to share my last contemporary wreath idea.

As I was looking for a new wreath design that was modern and unique, I came up with the idea while walking in the flower market and saw a pile of driftwoods. So I thought it would be fun to create a wreath from scratch with those driftwoods. We literally picked each beautiful driftwood that would create a perfect shape and put them together with screws. Then we put green cymbidium orchids, succulents and all small flowers on the driftwoods with hot glue to make the wreath look very natural like a small garden. In the end we added purple feather butterflies to create a happy holiday season color to this modern wreath.

Sometimes we can create a very beautiful and modern wreath from small and simple things that we might overlook.

We are going to give you more ideas about the wreath designs next post, stay tune!! ^_^
