Modern Elegance at the Rainbow Room

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

Tantawan Bloom along with well-known party planner Mindy Weiss created a beautiful, sophisticated fall wedding at the iconic Rainbow Room last October. A chic, modern design was the perfect compliment to the breathtaking ballroom featuring one of the best views of the New York City skyline.

The bride wanted to mix deep fall hues with the classic white wedding palette. The ceremony featured two full Magnolia trees along with tons of candlelight. Guest tables displayed tall rose gold containers filled with cascading white Phalaenopsis Orchids and pops of vibrant tropical leaves. At the base hints of dark burgundy Calla Lilies and Parrot Tulips were placed throughout. Mixed metallics an ever so popular trend was highlighted including the chargers, linen, and glassware. This unique and chic wedding design will forever remain as of one our favorites!

When Floral Design meets ART

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

Our favorite events are the ones that allow us to go outside the box and this party was the perfect opportunity. Thanks to our client Marla and her unconventional ideas we got to create some eye-catching designs including a gorgeous flower wall, two living art installations, and bold centerpieces. The living art was completely built and painted by our Tantawan Bloom team and the models from Screaming queens were body painted to blend right in. This art themed party was beautiful, quirky, and one we will never forget.

Lidia & Anthony’s Chic Wedding at the Mandarin Oriental NYC

By | Uncategorized, Weddings | No Comments

Another favorite from 2015! Lidia & Anthony’s Wedding was a sight to see at the Mandarin Oriental NYC. It featured all of our favorite modern touches, white Phalaenopsis Orchids, lucite ballroom chairs, and textured linens. The clean white palette created an elegant atmosphere that synchronized perfectly with the Mandarin’s breathtaking views of the city. From the moment we met Lidia & Anthony we knew it was design match made in heaven. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and a big thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!

Diana and Russell’s Floral Fantasy Wedding

By | Corporate Parties, Design Ideas, Engagement Parties, Events & News, Private Event, Uncategorized, Weddings | No Comments

On October 3rd 2015, we had the pleasure of designing the Wedding of Diana and Russell. It was truly the perfect time for a wedding with the first sense of fall crispness while summer still lingered in the air.

Diana and Russell envisioned an enchanting fantasy featuring delicate colors and lush flowers. Tantawan Bloom brought their dream to life and transformed the timeless Plaza Hotel into a floral wonderland.

For the ceremony, Tantawan Bloom constructed two grand trees forming a gorgeous altar. The trees were covered in lush flowers in white, ivory and light pink. The trees were adorned with hanging orchid leis and hanging candles creating a warm, romantic environment.

After the ceremony, guests continued to be awed as they came upon the beautiful escort card tree. This tree featured hanging crystal and butterflies keeping with the dreamy theme.

The reception followed suite and was the icing on the cake for the enchanting fantasy. The magnificent centerpieces filled the room and gave just the right amount of glow featuring hanging candles. The tables reserved for family featured gorgeous cascading Phalaenopsis Orchids suspended above the table. The remaining tables featured grand floral arrangements ornamented with seasonal branches all placed on top of a tall sleek vase. The tables were draped in gold sequin linens to finish this mesmerizing design.

Tantawan Bloom and Weddings, Inspiration, with a Touch of Magenta

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

According to Webster’s Dictionary, a wedding is defined as a ceremony that celebrates a marriage and is usually accompanied with festivities. Which means that no matter how much we love the colorful flowers, luxurious linens, and elaborate lighting, they are all technically unnecessary. All that is truly required to carry on this special ceremony is the presence of the loving couple and the officiant of their choice. So why do couples come to us? What service are they looking for us to provide to them and their guests? In one word, the answer is an experience. Couples come to us looking for someone who will transform their ceremony from a schedule of proceedings into an experience. We provide an atmosphere that overcomes guests and allows them to feel whatever emotion the wedding couple would like them to enjoy, not only on the special day, but years later.

Wedding couple, Varinda and Eric, wanted their guests to experience something fun and lively and sought inspiration from oriental elements. They came to Tantawan Bloom looking for someone who could turn these ideas into something original, that their guest would remember forever. To put it simply, Tantawan Bloom delivered. wedding-at-mandarin-oriental-hotel-ny

The wedding ceremony and reception took place in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Located in Midtown and surrounded by hundreds of tall New York City buildings, its ceiling to floor windows show off its stunning view of the city and allows guests to appreciate their place in the center of it all. Tantawan Bloom constructed an alter that mimicked this theme. The alter was set by bright drapes in the center of the room and guests were seated in a circular layout surrounded that the couple. All eyes were on the bride and groom because of the simplistic design created for this room. This space provided guests an opportunity to focus on the loving commitment that the couple were entering into while remaining clueless about the magnificent sights that awaited them.

Before entering the reception space guests received their place cards at a stunning and colorful table. A striking tall arrangement of bright fuchsia phalaenopsis orchids stood tall in the center of the table in three glass cylinders surrounded by candles and shorter arrangements of light purples, reds, and oranges to add the fun and lively touch the couple was looking for. The purple sequined tablecloth sparkled as guests searched for their names but guests were dazed by the flowers. After such a simplistic ceremony space where guests were able to appreciate the true beauty of the loving couple, the place card table gave guests a hint of what awaited them inside the reception space.

Guests then entered a room that displayed these orchids tastefully in a variety of smaller arrangements found on tables and behind the bar. While seated, guests were surrounded by centerpieces and overhead fixtures that contained many thin branches and less flowers, similar to the branch heavy style of a cherry blossom tree, another oriental flower. Tantawan Bloom added phalaenopsis orchids to these pieces to turn these overused oriental designs into exquisite pieces that guests could look up to and admire.

The bright purple and fuchsia hues from the ceremony space were reflected throughout the reception space but other bright colors were added to the flowers as well as to the other decorative elements to give that fun and lively vibe the couple was seeking. Each table was named for a building that guests were able to see in the beautiful skyline view during the ceremony. The cake was also decorated with bright fuchsia phalaenopsis orchids to tie in the oriental theme. The oriental purple and pink hues on the cake again added to that fun and lively touch.

Every aspect of Varinda and Eric’s oriental inspired wedding was executed perfectly and their guests enjoyed the fun and lively environment that was created.

NYC Bridal Fashion Week

By | Uncategorized, Weddings | No Comments

This past April, thanks to our friends at Wedding Style Magazine, Golf had the fabulous opportunity to attend the New York City Bridal Fashion Week! He was able to witness the big reveal of the best 2016 collections from many of the top designers in the bridal fashion world! This season’s launch included the gowns of Oscar de la Renta, Ines Di Santo, Galia Lahav, Carolina Herrera, Vera Wang and many more. Each gave us so many gorgeous looks at this years show, and we’d like to share with you some of our favorite designs of the day!

Ines Di Santo is not only a close friend, but also one of our favorite designers! This year she really brought her talent to the runway with her spring/summer 2016 collection. The spring inspired gowns in this show were filled with intricate details, soft colors, lots of  lace and just the right amount of sparkle!  Every gown had its own unique touches making each individually special, such as the use of exquisite beading or lacing. To accompany their spring theme, each model and dress is paired with a stunning butterfly headpiece. In my opinion this really was the finishing touch to tie in the whole collection! Below are photos captured by Getty Images, courtesy of Wedding Style Magazine, showcasing just a few of our favorites from the collection!

Who doesn’t love a good ruffle? This stunning gown really brings forward a more modern feel to it. I love that the dress isn’t the classic white either!

This short and fun gown is the perfect mixture of ruffle and lace. I love that there are so many parts to the dress with different tiers. With the pearl strung sleeves, its the perfect dress for a fun loving bride! Perfect to show off some fabulous shoes!

This is a stunning example of the intricate lace designs seen in this season’s collection! Such a gorgeous use of lace in the bust and it looks great with the pearl sleeves! Overall gorgeous gown!

This gown was one of our absolute favorites of this years fashion week! Between the gorgeous fit, low back and the intricate beading on the neck and back of this gown, it was by far the most unique dress in the collection!

Another favorite of the evening was the runway work from the one and only Galia Lahav.  She stole the show with her “Les Reves Bohemiens” collection at the New York Bridal Market. Her gowns gave the perfect combination of whimsical and sexy! Her designs showcase illusion necklines, lace and tulle. The choice of hair and make-up for the models was a true fit for the theme of the collection and looked flawless on the runway! The floral headpiece was a nice touch for the “bohemiens!”

This blush colored gown is perfect for the non-traditional bride! Not only does it go against the typical white or ivory color, it also gives us the “short” dress feel while still being a full length gown! I love the detailing in the beading and the way in which the tulle is added to the bottom! We definitely get that sexy element we were looking for with that low back!

What I love most about this gown is that the lace pattern is so different than what we usually see when dealing with lace and by adding it in the skirt gives us a little peak of the leg! The plunging neckline is gorgeous with all of the designs. Even though its low, it’s the perfect level of revealing to give the bride that little extra something special on her wedding day!

Nothing says couture better than this gown with its illusion neckline, long sleeves and lace embellishments! Everything about this dress screams high fashion and I love everything about it! My favorite part is probably the lace design right under the neck!

Strapless Sheer Wedding Dress : Getty Images

This gown is perfect for the bride who want to “show a little leg” without showing everything! I love that the fabric on this skirt is more on the sheer side because it really does bring that sexy element to the table! The sleeves are the perfect addition to make this gown a little more conservative – but not too much! Excellent work on this collection!
