Standing the Test of Time

By | Weddings | No Comments

Every wedding couple want to look back on their special day knowing they made all the right choices for their wedding. With so many options, from colors, to flowers, to style, creating a theme that will reflect the couple’s style can be a headache. Tantawan Bloom simplifies the designing and planning experience by producing weddings, from start to finish, based off the wedding couple’s style.  Designing romantic, timeless weddings is something that Tantawan Bloom specializes in. Our team of industry experts work together to produce events that create unforgettable experiences for wedding guests which stand the test of time.

Located in New York City, we are surrounded by countless, magnificent venues that inspire our designs and bring them to life. Tantawan Bloom has hosted events in gorgeous locations like The Plaza Hotel, Oheka Castle, St.Regis and Cipriani 42nd Street – just to name a few! From hand crafted interior designs to breathtaking landscapes, every inch of these settings produce everlasting feelings of tranquility and beauty, making them ideal hosts for our glamourous, modern creations.

We had the pleasure of working with a Annie and Chung on their wedding day at The Plaza Hotel.  After one visit to its luxurious Grand Ballroom, this couple knew it was the perfect venue for the wedding they envisioned. To complement the beauty of the ballroom and compliment its color theme, we created exquisite candelabra centerpieces filled with ivory, pale pink and antique lavender roses with a touch of gold leaf. The end result left our couple speechless. the plaza hotel timeless photo 03

This stunning bride and groom wanted to bring their classic ceremony outdoors with the option of having their reception inside. What better place to do this then at this historic Long Island hotel?! Our white and ivory decor really added a special touch to the landscape, while still allowing the unwavering beauty of this venue to shine!oheka wedding timeless photo 01The Cipriani 42nd Street has a very romantic and sophisticated vibe to its setting. For Marissa and Mark’s wedding we created extravagant centerpieces using a combination of ivory and blush roses and carnations to add to the grandness of this gorgeous location. These colors are perfect for a classic and ageless wedding!

A Traditional Wedding in a Modern NYC Venue Mandarin Oriental Hotel NY

By | Weddings | No Comments

Jacqueline and Yavar were married this past April at the Mandarin Oriental in NYC. Jacqueline, who is of Chinese decent, was looking for a traditional look for this modern venue and was not apposed to the use of white for her wedding décor. We chose a floral palette of white, blush, ivory and green and set centerpieces in gorgeous cut-glass vases to create this modern/traditional juxtaposition. Please enjoy the below photos from our own point-and-shoot.

A grand welcome via our Escort Card table design.

Tantawan Bloom at the New York Magazine Weddings Show.

Last week on April 1st Tantawan Bloom took part in the New York Weddings magazine show at the Metropolitan Pavilion on West 18th Street in Manhattan.
Spring is a wonderful time for Lilacs, so I decided to feature them in a centerpiece that also included white Phalaenopsis Orchids which is always beautiful and elegant, white and blush pink Ranunculus, white and very pale pink Peonies, blush spray Roses, Sweet Peas and white Freesias. This centerpiece was inspired by waterfalls, so I also wanted to use water and candles. We had only limited space on the table so we made the centerpiece tall, with white Phalaenopsis orchids cascading down like a waterfall onto a lucite pool of floating candles and orchid buds.
Gorgeous linens, glassware, flatware and chairs were all provided by
Classic Party Rentals. (Thank you to Julia Dash!)

For the napkin rings we created a garland of rose petals (Thai Style) for a unique, stunning and elegant look.
I also made seven different bridal bouquets: four in different shades of pink (Peonies and Sweet Peas), one of white Lilacs, one with purple Lilacs and Anemones, and one art-deco inspired, white and black flowers surrounded by plumes of white feathers.
Thank you to all the brides and others who stopped by the table.
Thank you to New York Weddings Magazine.
Thank you to Lindsey of Lindseybelle Photography. for the beautiful photographs.

The Loft Wedding

By | Weddings | One Comment

We were excited at Tantawan to meet Laura and Matt, and that we got to do their event at a magnificent loft space in Long Island City- the Metropolitan Building. It is an unfinished and raw space, decorated with an eclectic pallate. When working in a loft, we get to totally create the environment from scratch. Here, we used a beautiful and light pallate- blush and white. It went very well with the industrial brick walls.

And Christine at Exquisite Affairs was wonderful to work with! As was Jim from Eventgarde!
