NYC Bridal Fashion Week

By | Uncategorized, Weddings | No Comments

This past April, thanks to our friends at Wedding Style Magazine, Golf had the fabulous opportunity to attend the New York City Bridal Fashion Week! He was able to witness the big reveal of the best 2016 collections from many of the top designers in the bridal fashion world! This season’s launch included the gowns of Oscar de la Renta, Ines Di Santo, Galia Lahav, Carolina Herrera, Vera Wang and many more. Each gave us so many gorgeous looks at this years show, and we’d like to share with you some of our favorite designs of the day!

Ines Di Santo is not only a close friend, but also one of our favorite designers! This year she really brought her talent to the runway with her spring/summer 2016 collection. The spring inspired gowns in this show were filled with intricate details, soft colors, lots of  lace and just the right amount of sparkle!  Every gown had its own unique touches making each individually special, such as the use of exquisite beading or lacing. To accompany their spring theme, each model and dress is paired with a stunning butterfly headpiece. In my opinion this really was the finishing touch to tie in the whole collection! Below are photos captured by Getty Images, courtesy of Wedding Style Magazine, showcasing just a few of our favorites from the collection!

Who doesn’t love a good ruffle? This stunning gown really brings forward a more modern feel to it. I love that the dress isn’t the classic white either!

This short and fun gown is the perfect mixture of ruffle and lace. I love that there are so many parts to the dress with different tiers. With the pearl strung sleeves, its the perfect dress for a fun loving bride! Perfect to show off some fabulous shoes!

This is a stunning example of the intricate lace designs seen in this season’s collection! Such a gorgeous use of lace in the bust and it looks great with the pearl sleeves! Overall gorgeous gown!

This gown was one of our absolute favorites of this years fashion week! Between the gorgeous fit, low back and the intricate beading on the neck and back of this gown, it was by far the most unique dress in the collection!

Another favorite of the evening was the runway work from the one and only Galia Lahav.  She stole the show with her “Les Reves Bohemiens” collection at the New York Bridal Market. Her gowns gave the perfect combination of whimsical and sexy! Her designs showcase illusion necklines, lace and tulle. The choice of hair and make-up for the models was a true fit for the theme of the collection and looked flawless on the runway! The floral headpiece was a nice touch for the “bohemiens!”

This blush colored gown is perfect for the non-traditional bride! Not only does it go against the typical white or ivory color, it also gives us the “short” dress feel while still being a full length gown! I love the detailing in the beading and the way in which the tulle is added to the bottom! We definitely get that sexy element we were looking for with that low back!

What I love most about this gown is that the lace pattern is so different than what we usually see when dealing with lace and by adding it in the skirt gives us a little peak of the leg! The plunging neckline is gorgeous with all of the designs. Even though its low, it’s the perfect level of revealing to give the bride that little extra something special on her wedding day!

Nothing says couture better than this gown with its illusion neckline, long sleeves and lace embellishments! Everything about this dress screams high fashion and I love everything about it! My favorite part is probably the lace design right under the neck!

Strapless Sheer Wedding Dress : Getty Images

This gown is perfect for the bride who want to “show a little leg” without showing everything! I love that the fabric on this skirt is more on the sheer side because it really does bring that sexy element to the table! The sleeves are the perfect addition to make this gown a little more conservative – but not too much! Excellent work on this collection!

Standing the Test of Time

By | Weddings | No Comments

Every wedding couple want to look back on their special day knowing they made all the right choices for their wedding. With so many options, from colors, to flowers, to style, creating a theme that will reflect the couple’s style can be a headache. Tantawan Bloom simplifies the designing and planning experience by producing weddings, from start to finish, based off the wedding couple’s style.  Designing romantic, timeless weddings is something that Tantawan Bloom specializes in. Our team of industry experts work together to produce events that create unforgettable experiences for wedding guests which stand the test of time.

Located in New York City, we are surrounded by countless, magnificent venues that inspire our designs and bring them to life. Tantawan Bloom has hosted events in gorgeous locations like The Plaza Hotel, Oheka Castle, St.Regis and Cipriani 42nd Street – just to name a few! From hand crafted interior designs to breathtaking landscapes, every inch of these settings produce everlasting feelings of tranquility and beauty, making them ideal hosts for our glamourous, modern creations.

We had the pleasure of working with a Annie and Chung on their wedding day at The Plaza Hotel.  After one visit to its luxurious Grand Ballroom, this couple knew it was the perfect venue for the wedding they envisioned. To complement the beauty of the ballroom and compliment its color theme, we created exquisite candelabra centerpieces filled with ivory, pale pink and antique lavender roses with a touch of gold leaf. The end result left our couple speechless. the plaza hotel timeless photo 03

This stunning bride and groom wanted to bring their classic ceremony outdoors with the option of having their reception inside. What better place to do this then at this historic Long Island hotel?! Our white and ivory decor really added a special touch to the landscape, while still allowing the unwavering beauty of this venue to shine!oheka wedding timeless photo 01The Cipriani 42nd Street has a very romantic and sophisticated vibe to its setting. For Marissa and Mark’s wedding we created extravagant centerpieces using a combination of ivory and blush roses and carnations to add to the grandness of this gorgeous location. These colors are perfect for a classic and ageless wedding!

George the World Traveler’s Bar Mitzvah

By | Bar/Bat Mitzvahs | No Comments

There is no denying that the Greenwich, Connecticut’s premier restaurant, L’Escale, was completely transformed for George’s Bar Mitzvah. We took this traditional space and put our own clean and modern twist on it! If you are familiar with this restaurant you wouldn’t believe it was the same place after we were done with it! To make it happen we had to customize everything including the carpet and light fixtures!

George isn’t your typical 13 year old. He loves to travel and wanted to share his experiences from the places he had been with all of his friends and family. For this world traveler, we created an 8 x 14 foot world map escort card wall design that was made from living plants. We made mini neon chartreuse airplanes that hung from the wall with each containing the name of the guest along with their seating assignment. Each table number represented a place where George had visited and we also had three murals personally designed for him to show off all of those places! We worked closely with the designer to come up with a logo that not only followed his gray, white and neon theme, but also represented his bright personality. We used this design to customize soda bottles, pillows, and even the dance floor!L 'Escale Bar Mitzvah photo 09

L 'Escale Bar Mitzvah photo 08No party is complete without flowers, and our stunning white phalaenopsis orchids and erected tulips accented the rest of the room perfectly! These arrangements were complemented with forest green, neon, and chartreuse moss covering the tables. For the outdoor cocktail area overlooking the water, we combined lovely shades of white, purple and green to tie in the modernistic style!L 'Escale Bar Mitzvah photo 12

L 'Escale Bar Mitzvah photo 07The guests got even more pumped up when singer/songwriter Nelly came to the floor and performed for the guests! There wasn’t a single person that wasn’t out on the dance floor! To finish the night, George gave his friends personalized party favors that really stuck true to his theme. This was certainly a night nobody will ever forget!L 'Escale Bar Mitzvah photo 13We had so much fun working with George and his family on bringing his dream Bar Mitzvah to life. We wish George the best of luck in life and look forward to hearing all about his future travels!

Glen Oaks Country Club: Alison and Greg’s Elegant Wedding

By | Weddings | No Comments

On October 18th, 2014 at the Glen Oaks Country Club, Alison and Greg were named husband and wife. To say that this couple is the epitome of true love would be an understatement. We are so happy to have been a part of their special day and to have had the opportunity to bring their vision to life!

Elegant would be the word I would use to describe the breathtaking venue space at the Glen Oaks Country Club. With the addition of our designs and use of white calla lilies, pale roses, hydrangeas, white phalaenopsis orchids, and stock, it was truly a dream come true. With an exciting and vibrant cocktail hour, our arrangements added to the energy of the room containing hues of purple and red, emphasized using combinations of orchids, roses and tulips.

Mandarin Oriental NY: Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine Relaunch Party

By | Private Event | No Comments

Let me first begin by saying that Grace Ormonde is the queen of love. Her magazine exudes the perfect balance of romance and luxury.

Grace recently redesigned her beautiful website. To debut this inception, she invited some of the wedding industry’s top contributors to her Dom Pérignon sponsored party, of which Tantawan Bloom had the distinct pleasure of designing. And where better to host this private event than at the distinguished Mandarin Oriental, New York.

Even though the center of attention was Grace and her website, she gave us the authority to steal some limelight with our table design.

By | Weddings | No Comments
When the Tantawan Bloom team first the Steingers, we knew we were going to make this event beyond words beautiful! The entire experience from planning to day-of was so incredibly smooth–it felt as though we knew them for ages. We couldn’t have been more happy for this beautiful couple, and we are so excited to share some of their gorgeous photos from the incredible Brett Matthews Photography with you!

Erika wore a jaw dropping Vera Wang gown and carried a rose blush bouquet of roses and bright peonies to complement it beautifully. We designed an escort card table featuring a fountain of Happy Valentine orchids that lit up the entry way at Fresh Meadow Country Club. A romantic garden chuppah filled with cherry blossoms, roses, hydrangeas, garden roses and other floral was erected for their ceremony. This moment was so special!

The ballroom designs were the center of the party, right after the fabulous bride and groom of course! Tall crystal candelabras filled the ballroom and flickered with joy throughout the night. We filled the room with charming tall centerpieces of blooming cherry blossom branches and low centerpieces of white and blush peonies, roses and tulips. The party really was like a dream.
