By | Non-Profit | One Comment

What a HONOR to have been paired up with catwalk icon Pat Cleveland and House of Field for Thursday night’s 9th Annual Tulips & Pansies!

Our headpiece was inspired by a David Dalrymple for House of Field ‘Keith Haring’ dress. Tulips, peonies, roses, sweet peas and phalaenopsis orchids attracted a throng of colorful butterflies in a flower-power funk-flashback that won us the title of Most Entertaining!

Announcing the winners!

What an amazing show!

Thank you to Patricia Field, David Dalrymple, Pat Cleveland and to ALL of our crew and friends for their love and support!

I think you will agree that their joyful aura seems to be apparent even in these photos, don’t you think? M Benedict Verley captured all the beautiful moments.

Brooke and Josh were wed at the fabulous Angel Orensanz Foundation Center of the Arts here in NYC. The below, gorgeous shots of their special day are © Christian Oth, please enjoy!

Brooke’s elegant, round bouquet of white Stephanotis and pink garden Roses was delicately wrapped with an ivory satin ribbon and pearl pins.

Guests plucked their escort cards from this 14 ft tall tree, its branches decorated with red/burgundy Cymbidium Orchids and custom-made lanterns with amber candles. Around the base and trunk, an arrangement of pink, red and burgundy adds to the feel of unforgettable romanticism.

Sleek Floral Design at Bar Mitzvah at the Intrepid Museum

By | Bar/Bat Mitzvahs | 4 Comments

This past weekend May 16th, Tantawan Bloom designed a very sleek floral decor for Jordan’s Bar Mitzvah at the Intrepid Museum NYC. The space was huge and there were so many air planes in that beautiful venue. Special thanks to
Gustavo Campos the photographer who did such an amazing job. Some photos which are not good quality were taken by myself (of course I’m a florist not a photographer.)
Megan Wall, you were terrific to work with and was very helpful at the museum. Parties by PJ is always pleasure to work with. Frost did very good job with the lighting.

Tantawan Bloom at the New York Magazine Weddings Show.

By | Events & News, Weddings | 2 Comments

Last week on April 1st Tantawan Bloom took part in the New York Weddings magazine show at the Metropolitan Pavilion on West 18th Street in Manhattan.
Spring is a wonderful time for Lilacs, so I decided to feature them in a centerpiece that also included white Phalaenopsis Orchids which is always beautiful and elegant, white and blush pink Ranunculus, white and very pale pink Peonies, blush spray Roses, Sweet Peas and white Freesias. This centerpiece was inspired by waterfalls, so I also wanted to use water and candles. We had only limited space on the table so we made the centerpiece tall, with white Phalaenopsis orchids cascading down like a waterfall onto a lucite pool of floating candles and orchid buds.
Gorgeous linens, glassware, flatware and chairs were all provided by
Classic Party Rentals. (Thank you to Julia Dash!)

For the napkin rings we created a garland of rose petals (Thai Style) for a unique, stunning and elegant look.
I also made seven different bridal bouquets: four in different shades of pink (Peonies and Sweet Peas), one of white Lilacs, one with purple Lilacs and Anemones, and one art-deco inspired, white and black flowers surrounded by plumes of white feathers.
Thank you to all the brides and others who stopped by the table.
Thank you to New York Weddings Magazine.
Thank you to Lindsey of Lindseybelle Photography. for the beautiful photographs.

Autumn Wedding Party in New York City

By | Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Uncategorized | One Comment

In the beginning of October, Tantawan Bloom designed floral arrangements in fall-season colors for a beautiful party on Park Avenue in the center of Manhattan.

As the guests entered they found themselves walking under three “seating card” trees, each decorated with thousands of cymbidium orchids with the seating cards hanging from the trees’ branches.

The table centerpieces were of two different designs. The first used a seven foot tall tree containing brown-orange cymbidium orchids with other fall-color flowers and accents of smilax. The trees were also hung with custom made lanterns containing tea lights tree, casting a romantic glow on the table and the guests. The other table design consisted of simple red floral arrangements at four different heights, each accented on top with a pillar candle for an understated elegance.

The guests felt they were sitting down for dinner in an extravagantly beautiful fall garden in the middle of the most exciting city in the world.

And that was another successful and beautiful night.

The Loft Wedding

By | Weddings | One Comment

We were excited at Tantawan to meet Laura and Matt, and that we got to do their event at a magnificent loft space in Long Island City- the Metropolitan Building. It is an unfinished and raw space, decorated with an eclectic pallate. When working in a loft, we get to totally create the environment from scratch. Here, we used a beautiful and light pallate- blush and white. It went very well with the industrial brick walls.

And Christine at Exquisite Affairs was wonderful to work with! As was Jim from Eventgarde!
